Travelling to different locations either locally or internationally has played an important part in my life and has influenced how and when I take images and the role climatic conditions play along with the fundamental importance of understanding light.

Monochrome Infrared photography is a fascinating subject. Images are captured at wavelengths between 700nm to 900nm which are beyond the visible light spectrum we use for traditional colour photography.
IR photography can be used to capture a considerable level of detail and structure depending on the chosen subject, weather conditions and level and direction of light, creating unique and intriguing images.
In all honesty, this is a genre I have limited experience with other than attending a couple of lifestyle and fashion workshops in the distant past. It is a fascinating genre with so many variables to consider with immense scope for personal expression.
This is where it all started for me. Visiting a foreign land on business and finding periods of time kicking my heels with nothing to do! With my first camera in hand, how wrong I was with the abundance of photographic opportunities.
Recent developments in aerial technology has opened up a completely new genre in image taking. DJI aerial craft (drones) in collaboration with Hasselblad image sensing knowledge have produced an incredibly sophisticated and capable piece of imaging equipment.
